Rachel's Bio

About Me
I specialise in supporting individuals to overcome eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns. This includes difficulties such as a poor relationship with food, chronic dieting, emotional eating, restrictive eating, orthorexia, ARFID, binge eating disorder, bulimia and anorexia. Body image healing is also a key focus of my work, recognising how deeply body image distress can impact recovery.

I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist, with a First Class Honours degree in Nutritional Therapy, alongside comprehensive training in eating disorder care. Drawing on CBT-E, ACT, body image healing, meal support and intuitive eating principles, I take a personalised approach that integrates nutritional, behavioural and psychological support.

Alongside my professional training, I also bring lived experience of an eating disorder, which adds depth of understanding to my work. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing restrictive eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa.

My Approach
My practice is inclusive and affirming, supporting neurodiversity, disability, diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, and recognising the racial and cultural contexts that shape each person’s relationship with food and body.

At the core of my approach is compassion, understanding and trauma-informed care. In our work together, we move at your pace, recognising how overwhelming recovery can feel. It is a collaborative process, rather than being told what to do, you are actively involved in your recovery, with space to move forward in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Areas We May Explore
Areas of focus can include reducing anxiety, guilt and shame around food, challenging eating disorder thoughts, fear foods and food rules, and learning to trust yourself around food and gradually reconnect with your body’s internal cues. We may also dispel myths around food, weight and health, and support you with digestive distress, hormonal concerns (including amenorrhea) and other symptoms you may be experiencing.

Alongside nutritional support, we may explore the role the eating disorder has played in helping you cope and develop alternative ways to cope with difficult feelings. Where appropriate, we may also focus on body image healing, your relationship with exercise and movement, reconnecting with your values and identity, and reclaiming the parts of life the eating disorder has taken away.

Get In Touch
Eating disorders can take so much from life, but recovery is possible. I have extensive experience supporting individuals in improving their relationship with food, rebuilding trust in their body, and reconnecting with life beyond the eating disorder. If my approach resonates with you, please do get in touch to discuss how we might work together.
