Harriett's Bio

Harriett is a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Somatic Practitioner specialising in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns and digestive health.

Her approach is body-led and nervous-system informed. A somatic approach begins with the understanding that our experiences are not only held in our thoughts, but also in our bodies and nervous systems. Rather than focusing solely on changing behaviours or challenging beliefs, Harriett works with the body as a starting point for healing. This may include exploring physical sensations, patterns of tension, nervous system states, emotions, and the body’s signals around hunger, fullness, safety and stress.

By slowing down and becoming more aware of these experiences, we can start to understand the deeper patterns that may be driving difficulties with food, body image and emotional overwhelm. Over time, this helps create a greater sense of safety, self-awareness and trust in yourself, making lasting change feel more possible and sustainable.

As the body begins to feel safer and more supported, many clients find it becomes easier to navigate food, emotions and recovery with greater flexibility and self-compassion.

Harriett’s aim is to help clients move beyond survival-driven patterns and towards a more easeful relationship with food, their body and themselves.
